I have been crocheting for 25 years and am working on adding some of my patterns to this blog as well. I typically make children's designs and some household designs. I am new to making amigurumi but have developed some tricks and tips for those as well.

What Does the Fox Say
This is my "What does the Fox Say?" Hat- I will update with a pattern shortly. The trick on this hat is to use a bulky weight yarn for the ears that way they stand up instead of falling down. I used Blue Sky Alpaca Worsted Cotton for the body of the hat which has a really nice feel to it and holds up very well.
The nose is done by using the same bulky weight yarn as the ears and is a magic ring of 6 HDCs but you do not join the ring. You go the reverse and do 2 HDCs in each stitch.
*** Special Note, when I do my hats I love the ridges so I always stitch in back loops only. Its also a lot faster and easier to count when you do increases in each round.

This is the cute little Lalaloopsy crochet doll I recently made. I used a pattern from Etsy (Epic Kawaii- epickawaii.etsy.com)- with a few small alterations- I didn't use a ribbon on the feet and I used spiral curliques on the hair. I also made it more toddler friendly by using a felt button eye that I bought on Amazon. This way there is no choking hazard and they aren't as prone to pulling them off.
